I am currently in post-production on my debut feature, DESERT CATHEDRAL. The film is about a real estate developer who mysteriously disappears from his family and heads into the desert, where he befriends the private investigator hired to find him. The film is set in 1992 and stars Lee Tergesen (Oz, Generation Kill) and Chaske Spencer (Twilight).
The project was inspired by real people and events and is in the tradition of films like The Passenger, Badlands and Paris, Texas. Over the next few months, I’ll be putting up a range of source material and highlights from the process. The official artwork and promotion will begin later this year and the film will premiere in 2013.
Prior to shooting, I spent time researching the story and location scouting. This first set of photos is from various desert landscapes I shot along the way. We ultimately decided to shoot the desert scenes in Sun Lakes Park in Eastern Washington.
